Quilting Service

THANK YOU for considering my service to help finish your quilt!

Current turnaround time:  2 weeks (not including shipping time).

A quilter since 1999 with a quilting frame setup since 2008.  My passion for quilting has become obsessive, to the point where I simply want to spend most of my time QUILTING.

Quilt designs swarm in my head; patterns tickle my fancy when I see pictures of completed quilts, designs are doodled, ...  I simply LOVE this craft and wish to have it become MORE of my life than what it currently is.

Quilting services are offered to anyone willing to allow me to share in their love of quilting.
Please don't hesitate to contact me with any questions.  Let's work together!

Always passionate,
Amy

On the frame.... Maria's quilt

The first glimpse at a customer's quilt is always exciting!  This quilt is no different!  Absolutely GORGEOUS fabrics!!!!!

However, this king-size quilt is a bit slower-going than normal due to a cute creative orange border addition.  As I was pressing the top a final time before loading onto the frame, I needed to brainstorm a new plan-of-attack.

Typically, I'm an edge-to-edge pantograph quilter, however this little lip will create havoc in that plan.  Therefore, time is being taken to tie-off threads at the start and end of each pass in the center portion of the quilt in order to keep her border treatment to remain unique.  Once the center is quilted, the quilt will then be reinstalled length-wise in order to quilt her outer borders.

Pantograph of choice:  this edge-to-edge 7" pantograph from Cheryl Barnes.
Thread (top and bobbin):  Aurifil #2314
